In addition to the services EATTA provides to its membership, it conducts a charity collection every year at its Annual Dinner held at Kings College, Cambridge in September:

2016 – East Anglia Prostate Cancer Appeal (£3460)

2017 – Stephen Hawking Foundation (£3260)

2018 – Hearing Dogs Charity (£-)

2019 – Members are invited to submit recommendations to the Secretary of potential recipients. These must comply with a simple criteria: They must be registered in East Anglia, or have operations based or linked to our region and must of course be a registered charity or note worthy cause linked to our Industry.

The EATTA more recently has tried in addition to support regional interests who are allied to our product or the environment which was a donation to The Essex Wildlife Trust for the Belfairs Project. This is a centre of excellence and highlights The Trust’s work in protecting ancient woodland and its associated wildlife.

The Association would welcome and consider any other similar projects promoting the use of timber and allied products

We would like to ask all Members who have knowledge of anyone in our region who has worked in our Industry for over 10 years, regardless of age or level who maybe in need of some of the benefits / services that the TTBS can provide.
